Summer Moonlight

'Tis Moonlight, Summer Moonlight
by Emily Bronte

Tis moonlight, summer moonlight,
All soft and still and fair;
The solemn hour of midnight
Breathes sweet thoughts everywhere,

But most where trees are sending
Their breezy boughs on high,
Or stooping low are lending
A shelter from the sky.

And there in those wild bowers
A lovely form is laid;
Green grass and dew-steeped flowers
Wave gently round her head.

  1. Hi Hannah, I've been trying to find your My World entry but am going to comment here because I think the photo is WOW! Great composition and color. I sometimes visit your part of the world - we have relatives in Tampa and Sarasota.

  2. Hi, Barb. :) I forgot to label my post, so it was pretty much invisible when you dropped by. :oops:

    I took this picture while parked at the mall. :D It was a lucky spot to give me this perspective. It pays to carry the camera around---all the time---for sure. :D

    I hope you've been to St. Petersburg, as well. You have to visit Fort de Soto, if you haven't yet. :)
