I often regret spending too much time taking pictures when I should be taking in the raw sights and sounds of my new surroundings BUT not always. Using the camera to take in the sights sometimes produce unexpected but pleasant captures such as this photo. A whole new experience is always waiting behind the lens, for sure.
Taken at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Nice shot, thanks for sharing:)
ReplyDeletelovely photo, full of contrasting colours and textures.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean though about time spent taking photos vs time spent enjoying raw nature...

What a gorgeous shadow shot! Perfect, love the color! I usually regret not having my camera with me because invariably I'll miss a great shot. This shot is a great reminder!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Sylvia
Thank you, Jane. :)
ReplyDeleteI love your play with the lamp and lamp shadow. It made me look twice. :D
Thank you, Crafty. :mgreen:
ReplyDeleteFor this walk, I allowed myself to indulge my shutter-happy fingers since the park is in my neighborhood. I figured I can always go back for the raw experience, but, of course, nature never stays the same and certainly doesn't wait!
Your spider shadow shot was pretty cool...sinister, but cool. :D
Hi, Sylvia!
ReplyDeleteI have those moments of regret, too. I have my camera with me most of the time, but I never seem to find unexpected photo opportunities when I do! Oh well... I suppose some moments are just meant to be experienced in the raw.
Your shadow-within-shadow shot of the green vase is delightful!
