PhotoHunt Saturday #2 - A Shell of a Butterfly

Taken last month on the shores of Fort de Soto Beach. I noticed a bunch of butterfly-shaped open shells on the shores on the day I went for a walk. They came in a variety of colors, but this is the brightest one of them.

Macro Monday #1 - Oopsy Daisy

Welcome to my first Macro Monday post!

No, it's not Oopsy Daisy; it's Sea Oxeye Daisy. :D  Taken at Solider's Hole Nature Trail at Fort de Soto Park in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Sea Oxeye Daisy is a common plant along the trail. This plant flowers most prominently from March to August, however, it is not unusual to find some blooms at almost anytime of the year.

I took this shot last May.

Window Views #1 - Too Early at the Casino

Welcome to my first Window Views post!

Taken last year on the second floor of hotel Atlantis in Reno, Nevada. The place was pretty empty, which was nice. :D My sister and I dropped by the hotel for a look-around early in the morning, when most guests are either still in bed or somewhere else. Great timing. :D I don't play in casinos, but I enjoy looking at the decorations.

Blue Monday #1 - Lazy Blue Sunday

Welcome to my first Blue Monday post!

Here's a typical weekend view of Tampa Bay from the shores of Downtown St. Petersburg. This particular spot lies between The Pier and Renaissance Vinoy Resort & Golf Club, both of which are historical landmarks of the city.

Get a bird's eye-view of the surrounding areas through the City of St. Petersburg webcams.

Scenic Sunday #1 - Yosemite National Park

Welcome to my first Scenic Sunday post!

One of my favorite solo trips during my short stay in California is my impulsive visit to Yosemite National Park. These pictures are from that trip from a year ago. Drive down to the Yosemite Valley with me and immerse yourself into the beauty and wonder of the lush landscape.  We're now at the banks of the Merced River.

Well, don't just stand there! :D Pick a stone. Have a seat. Take your shoes off and let the water cool your feet. Then, let the magic of the land wash over you . . .
